About Us

What is 1 Mo?

Founded in 2020 by Goodwill Ambassador Dr. Travis Emory Barber Sr., 1 Mo Question Inc. is a nationally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring, educating, mentoring, and empowering youth, young adults, and families through authentic relationships and lived experience.

Our organization was born from one simple belief: every person deserves someone willing to answer one more question. That belief has grown into a movement impacting schools, court systems, correctional facilities, communities, and families across Georgia and throughout the United States.

The foundation of our work comes from Dr. Barber’s own journey of overcoming fatherlessness, incarceration, trauma, and adversity. Rather than allowing those experiences to define his future, he transformed them into a mission of hope, accountability, restoration, and opportunity for others

Mission statement:
It is the mission of 1Mo? to inspire, educate, and empower at-risk youth in our community, by leading them to make positive life choices, that enables them to reach their personal potential.

Mentoring, job placement, Life Coaching, educational services, motivational speaking, community events and creating safe spaces. 1MO? is achieving more with our initiatives than ever before. We work on many exciting projects along with academic programs such as 1MO Book Club, critical thinking skills and hygiene courses, to help improve the lives of others, and we are very proud of the progress we are making. 

WHO WE SERVE:

1 Mo Question Inc. is an inclusive organization that proudly serves all ethnicities and backgrounds. Our mentorship and leadership programs focus on male youth who are low-risk, at-risk, and high-risk, including those navigating fatherlessness, community violence, poverty, behavioral challenges, juvenile justice involvement, or difficult life circumstances.

Whether a young man simply needs guidance or is working to overcome significant obstacles, we believe every individual deserves access to positive role models, meaningful opportunities, and a community that believes in their potential.

Recognizing the enormity of the challenges our society faces, 1MO? is dedicated to making a lasting impact through our campaigns and programs. While our efforts are driven by our organization’s singular focus, we spread a wide net by investing in a variety of progressive strategies.
